Summers can get quite hot, with temperatures averaging 100°F for the high and the upper 60s for the low. Winters are mild with highs in the 50s and lows in the 20s.

When is the park open?
Zion National Park is open 365 days a year. The free park shuttle runs from April 1st to October 31st.
Where can I camp within the park?
There are two campgrounds (South and Watchman) located in Zion valley and one campground (Lava Point) located on the Kolob Terrace (about 1 hour from the main park entrance). South Campground is availble on a first-come, first serve basis. You can make reservations at the Watchman Campground by calling 877-444-6777. Lava Point Campground on Kolob Terrace has 6 primitive sites that are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
