Pet Friendly Hiking Trail

Pa'rus Trail is within Zion National Park and follows the Virgin River. You can acces the trail at the Visitor Center or within campgrounds. This nicely shaded trail is great for getting the pooch a little exercise. If you are looking for something a bit longer, head to nearby National Forest and Wilderness trails.

Pet Boarding

If you want to spend long days or overnights hiking and backpacking within Zion, we suggest boarding your dog at a nearby dog hotel. The heat is intense in the desert, even when it is overcast, and leaving your dog in your car while you explore hiking trails is NOT recommended. There are a few dog hotels in Kanab, Rockville, Hurricane, St. George, and Cedar City.
