First Night Celebration
Ring in the New Year with the First Night Celebration, an arts extravaganza held annually in St. George, Utah. This festive, family-friendly event features more than one hundred performing and visual artists at over twenty venues. There are also fireworks, food booths, and plenty of holiday shopping along St. George's historic Main Street.
First Night Celebration has been a premier St. George holiday event for nearly a decade. Organizers established the festivities in order to strengthen community ties and keep neighborly traditions alive. Revelers are invited to rediscover the city and celebrate the New Year with local and regional arts community. This alcohol-free event creates a safe environment for people of all ages to enjoy First Night.
First Night features a wide variety of performers, such as musicians, dancers, actors, poets, storytellers, comedians, magicians, puppeteers, and other visual and media artists.
Each year, First Night is held in or around New Year's Eve, depending on what day of the week the holiday falls. Patrons gain access to all of the events by purchasing a St. George First Night wristband or button. Discounts are given for advance purchases and for children 11 and younger.
