Santa Clara's Annual Swiss Days Celebration is truely a home-town celebration full of history and fun! Santa Clara celebrated its first Swiss Days in 1990 in tribute to the town's pioneer heritage in which Swiss members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints settled in Santa Clara in 1861.

Swiss Days includes a 5 kilometer run/walk, pancake breakfast, and of course the Swiss Days Parade. The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Jacob Hamblin Home on Santa Clara Drive and continues just pass the Town Hall, showcasing everything from Harley Davidson motorcycles, antique cars, the Grand Marshall, local businesses and schools, live animals, and homemade floats. The festival will also include a Red Rock Car Show at Canyon View Park, in addition to continuous entertainment, dog agility demonstrations, heritage displays, pioneer craft demonstrations, family history lectures, children's activities, and more.

  • A late September event each year
  • Held at the Canyon View Park and Heritage Square
  • Created to preserve Santa Clara City's historical landmarks as well as strengthen the town's sense of heritage

Overview: Santa Clara Swiss Days started as a fundraising activity to contribute to the upkeep of the aging Relief Society Building. The Swiss Days Fun Run 5K is the primary fundraiser over the weekend, which benefits the Santa Clara community. Other events during the September event include a parade, fireworks, pie-baking contest, Little Swiss Mister and Miss Pageant, live music, pioneer hands-on activities, dog agility showcases, and fireworks. Vendor booths and exhibits will be open throughout Swiss Days as well.
