Tuacahn's Summer Season of Theater
Each summer visitors to Tuacahn Amphitheatre and Center for the Arts can enjoy the "Broadway of the Desert," an array of captivating musical favorites performed by talented, local professionals. The "summer" theatre season actually runs from May to October, taking advantage of the pleasant temperatures at outdoor theater in Ivins, UT.

Varied theatrical performances from concerts to operas. The summer schedule varies:

The Little Mermaid -June 2 - October 21, 2011 Mon, Wed, and Fri

Overview: Performances have included such gems as My Fair Lady, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Les Miserables. For younger audiences, the Summer Theater Institute puts on plays geared for teens and children and are performed by Utah's top high school actors, dancers, and musicians. In addition to summer Broadway shows, many national musical acts, like the Beach Boys and Chicago, take the stage at Tuacahn during the summer.

Fees: Ticket packages offer considerable discount on the face value of individual tickets. Discounts are available for large groups, youth, seniors, and AAA members (though not all discounts are available online).
Details: To reach Tuacahn from St. George, drive 2 miles West on St. George Blvd. to Bluff Street (turn right). Go 1.7 mile and then turn left (West) onto Snow Canyon Parkway, continuing for 4 miles. Turn Right (North) on 1130 East, headed toward state park. Take the first left to Tuacahn.
