Visitors to the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell and the Zion National Park often stop over at the Hurricane Valley Heritage Park Museum. The museum is the best place to learn about the local history and the heritage of the stunning Hurricane Valley and the state of Utah.
Utah offers much more than amusement, recreation and adventure. There is a lot of history, art and culture – Hurricane in particular has a glorious past. Though the earliest inhabitants were the Paiute Indians, but Hurricane began to really grow around 1906 with the setting up of sugar beet fields, vineyards and orchards.
The Hurricane Valley Heritage Park Museum is a great place to check out the art and historic heritage of the area while you are visiting the Canyon, Zion National Park or the Lake Powell.
The Hurricane Valley Heritage Park Museum is open from Monday to Saturday and the museum timings are from 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening. However do keep in mind that this heritage museum in the valley is closed on Christmas and on the New Year's Day. Visit the Museum and go through the extensive selection of Indian artifacts, photographs and pioneer homes of the day's gone bye. Select from several activities, such as guided tours, arts festivals, lectures and even concerts. There is also an auditorium with 60 seats, a library and a 2,000 sq. ft. for exhibits.
