Weekly Passes

All weekly passes are non-transferable and start the day of purchase. Keep the receipt in your vehicle window as proof of payment of appropriate Zion National Park fees.

  • Private Vehicle: $25 
    (14 passengers or less)
  • Motorcycle: $12
  • Individual: $12 
    (For an individual entering by foot or bicycle)
  • Groups: $12/person 
    (Non-Commercial vehicle with capacity of 15 or greater)
  • Individuals 15 years and younger: Free

Annual Passes

  • Zion Annual Pass: $50 
    (Entrance for one non-commercial vehicle, valid for 12 months from date of purchase.)
  • America the Beautiful Annual Pass: $80 
    (Also called the Interagency Annual Pass. Entrance for one non-commercial vehicle to most federal recreation areas, valid for 12 months from date of purchase.)

Lifetime Passes

  • America the Beautiful Senior Pass: $10 
    (Also called the Interagency Senior Pass. Lifetime access to all National Parks for individuals over 62 years of age.)
  • America the Beautiful Access Pass: Free 
    (Also called the Interagency Access Pass. Lifetime access to all National Parks for individuals with permanent disabilities.)

Commercial Permits

  • 1-6 Passengers: $35 plus $12/passenger, not to exceed $70
  • 7-15 Passengers: $70
  • 16-25 Passengers: $80
  • 26 Passengers: $190
Special Use Permits
  • Wedding Ceremony: $100
  • Scattering of Ashes: $100
  • Commercial Filming: $150

Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel Escort

Due to safety restrictions in the small tunnel, vehicles over 11 feet, 4 inches (3.4m) in height or 7 feet, 10 inches (2.4m) in width are required to have an escort to pass through the Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel.

The fee is $15, valid for two escorted trips through tunnel during escort hours only.

Vehicles over 13 feet, 1 inch in height, 40 feet in length, or 50 feet in combined length are not permitted in the tunnel.  Other restrictions also apply.

Backcountry Permits

If camping overnight in the backcountry, or hiking any route that requires ropes or technical gear, a backcountry permit is required. Reservations can be made online for $5, up to three months ahead of time.

Permit fees vary depending on group size:

  • 1-2 People: $10
  • 3-7 People: $15
  • 8-12 People: $20
