Zion Lodge
Set against the stunning red rock walls of the park, the Zion Lodge is a destination within itself. Make sure to book a room in this beautiful lodge early so that you can experience the attractions of the park right out your front door.
Zion Lodge is located in Zion National Park, providing excellent lodging accommodation for the many thousands of visitors who want something more than a mere day trip to the park. In fact, it is set against a peaceful backdrop of cliffs, plants and canyons in a diverse, tranquil and natural refuge. The lodge's traditional architecture and excellent amenities are second to none.
Ironically, Zion is more appropriate a name than most people realize. It translates to mean a location of refuge and peace. In fact, there is no better description that could have been given to the park. Its uninterrupted and stunning scenery combines over one hundred and forty thousand acres of canyons, cliffs, plants, animals and rivers.
The Zion Lodge was designed in the 20's by Gilbert Stanley Underwood, but was completely destroyed in the 60's by fire. Since then it was reconstructed, allowing visitors to continue to enjoy its classical interior, but unfortunately a changed exterior.
Amenities include gas fireplaces, private porches or balconies, full bathrooms and varied bed sizes. Every room is air conditioned, providing views that are hard to compare.
The lodge is open continuously with special winter rates. Dining is elegant or relaxed, depending on one's personal needs and tastes. There are two dining areas, including an outdoor café. Nearby concession stands also provide another option for tasty food.
