Overview

Located in Wells Fargo & Co. building in the ghost town of Silver Reef, the Silver Reef Gallery and Museum is home to exhibits detailing the daily life of this once vibrant mining town with higlights including period artifacts and paintings by the artist Jerry Anderson. While in town make sure to explore the areas historic buildings and mining relics, with many of the artifacts dating back to the 1880’s. There is also a souvenir shop in town that maintains the same hours as the museum.

The museum is located 18 miles north of St. George off I-15. Take the “Leeds” exit. Call 435-879-2254 for more information.

Silver Reef came into prominence in 1871 when John Kemple discovered a silver vein in the area.
